Domaine Leon Boesch
Leon Boesch dates back to 1640 and now lies in the hands of 11th generation; Matthieu and Marie Boesch.
They are right in the middle of the Ballons des Voges natural park, protected from a lot of dominant winds and rain-bearing weather on a busy patchwork of soil types. In the centre, the Grand Cru Zinnkoepflé.
They now farm 14.5 hectares but it is looked after as though it is their garden. They practice biodynamic viticulture and you'll see birds nesting, bee hives, fawns jumping between the vines and lizards skittering over the rocks.
They hold themselves to the highest standards- they often downgrade Riesling, Pinot Gris and Muscat grown on Zinnkoepflé because they don’t believe they reach the same quality level as the Gewürztraminer and they want to uphold this quality reputation.
This estate showcases quality and value without a doubt.
