Mother Rock is the winery of winemaker Johan Meyer and founder of The Sourcing Table, Ben Henshaw. When these lads had the idea for Empire of Dirt, the idea was simple, they wanted to show off the terroir of South Africa; to boast about the soils, their range, and the stories they hold.

Winemaking follows the same thinking. From ground to glass, they wanted to change the course of the wine as little as possible to let the vineyard do the talking. Where moves like controlled oxidation are used, it’s sparing, and intentionally. These wines are juicy and mouthwatering.
