Domaine de Marnes Blanches

Domaine de Marnes Blanches

Pauline and Géraud Fromont were born and raised in Jura, between Burgundy and Switzerland, they have this beautiful Alpine region in their blood. They now make their own wine here and this connection is clear; their wines are aromatic with rich acidity, salt-streaked and layered with flavour.

Pauline and Géraud met while studying and began Les Marnes Blanches when they returned home in 2006. They have added parcels over the last twenty years and now are organically farming twelve hectares scattered over four villages.

The balance of structure and layers of flavour sets these wines apart. Whole-bunch maceration is used to bring grip and structure in red and orange wines, but the real key to the elegant complexity of these wines is the long, slow ageing. A lot of these wines have spent two or three years in barrel before release.
