Mark is over here in Australia changing everything we know about Grenache, making two beautifully different wines from two wildly different sites. Having fallen in love with Grenache in the Southern Rhone, Mark has come home to Australia to show us why we should too. He saw first-hand the powerful, rich, high-alcohol Grenache made in the Southern Rhone and was inspired to run in the opposite direction. He prioritises expression; minimal oxygen exposure to preserve freshness, long maceration for texture and aging in sandstone amphora. The result of this approach is definition and precision. Mark works with two vineyards and his wines celebrate the contrasting personalities of these sites while maintaining his fingerprint.
