This Rosso di Montalcino would comfortably go head to head with any Brunello. Is it a skillfull wine that balances power and finesse. This wine will reward you for decanting it- as it breathes the more refined it becomes. It is unmistakable Sangiovese with black cherry, balsamic and mushroom with a rustic spice. This is in harmony with rich, full body and full silky tannin and a long finish. This wine is singing now and would be perfectly placed beside a rich Italian stew, but it will cellar well for you if you're not ready.
