At the Table with Mastrojanni

We have 14 spaces around our table for this very special evening with Mastrojanni. This is the opportunity to taste with the winemaker behind the wines, to ask questions and hear the stories behind the wines.

Mastrojanni is nestled in the Tuscan village of Castelnuovo dell’Abate. The terracotta and chestnut beamed winery is buried into the hillside, where oak barrels and tonneaux have been aging wine for the last fifty years. 37 little plots of vineyards are sprinkled down towards the south and southeast of Montalcino along with orchards, a vegetable garden, olive groves and woods.

It is the job of winemaker Giulia Harri to translate this place into wine- the vineyards, the terroir, the history. These wines have a fine balance between freshness and red fruit, with aromatic, earthy dried herbs, leather and tobacco. They are light on their feet, but with structure and grip.
