This delicious Chilean Pinot Noir hails from the Limari Valley, where vines are gently cooled by the wind blowing in from the Pacific Ocean. It strikes a wonderful balance between light, juicy fruit and layers of savoury complexity. Think juicy raspberry and red cherry, tinged with floral violet character, fine chalky tannins and a hint of forest floor. An exceptional wine to enjoy with game dishes this Autumn.
Triangle wines is an exciting joint venture between The Sourcing Tables own Ben Henshaw, Master of Wine Alvaro Ribalta and the De Martino Winery in Chile's Maipo Valley. The project was born from a shared, burning desire to create small parcels of wine from special plots in the cool Pacific-influenced Limarí Valley.
Triangle Wines began as a way to collaborate with winemakers whose work inspires them, seeking out distinctive sites and talented hands across the world. While the project has roots in South America and beyond, one of its most exciting chapters is in Portugal, where Triangle partners with Dirk van der Niepoort in Bairrada. Dirk van der Niepoort is one of Portugal’s great modern winemakers. He has led the project for the Sanha and Sonda ranges with The Souring Table’s own Ben Henshaw, and Master of Wine Alvaro Ribalta. He is proudly shining a light on these regions and grape varieties.
