Based in the historic appellation of Chateau Chalon, Marie-Pierre tends her vines lutte raisonnée; essentially the French term for ‘low intervention’. There are many obstacles to farming organically here, mostly due to the erosion of the appellation’s steep slopes, but Marie-Pierre consistently works to overcome them. Though she does have to spray herbicides in extreme circumstances, a dedication to sustainability is at the core of her winemaking ethos.

This Chardonnay is an exceptional example of Jura's signature oxidative style. Aged in a similar way to sherry, this is a distinctive wine that’s smoky and nutty on the nose, and mouth-watering salinity on the palate. If you want to enjoy one of life’s greatest food pairings, we highly recommend trying this with Jura’s most famous cheese; Comte. It’ll knock your socks off.
