San Ferdinando
The San Ferdinando estate has been a fixture in Chianti for well over a century. It has been owned by the Grifoni family since the 1850's, nestled in the hamlet of Civitella in Val di Chiana just southeast of Florence. In 2008, the current generation of Grifoni's started to convert their estate to organic viticulture and breathed exciting new life into this classic name. They embrace native, local varieties such as Sangiovese, Ciliegiolo, Pugnitello, and Vermentino - bringing balance and quality alongside exceptional value.
