Domaine Hudelot-Noëllat
Founded in 1962 and based in Chambolle-Musigny, Domaine Hudëlot-Noellat has quickly become one of the most in demand Burgundy releases every year, and this is no accident. Since Charles van Canneyt took over from his grandfather in 2008 we’ve seen a quiet revolution; he has been modernising the kit and refining technique, but all the while keeping one foot firmly in tradition. In the vineyards farming is fully organic, the fruit is destemmed as it gets to the winery and fermented with indigenous yeast and when it comes to aging, oak is tailored individually by classification and vintage.
The Premier and Grand Cru plots produce benchmark wines for elegance and finesse in the Cote de Nuits while their Bourgogne Pinot Noir has a bit of a reputation for over-delivering. It’s easy to see why these wines are so wildly sought after.
