Hailing from the limestone-rich soils of Juncarejos, in La Font de la Figuera, 'Lafont' is made from the local grape Malvasía Castellana grown at 700m above sea level. This is one of the unique benefits of growing vines in Valencia, which though sun-soaked benefits from the cooling benefits of its mountainous terrain. The result is a mineral, saline white that is extremely fresh and vibrant. It overflows with notes of stone fruits and orange peel, with a great salty finish. Hard to believe that this isn't more expensive!

About La Comarcal

'La Comarcal' is a collaboration between The Sourcing Table favourite Javi Revert and his good friend Victor Marqués, two of the finest winemakers in Mediterranean Spain.

The project is rooted in a deep love of the Valencian landscape, an area that has abundant untapped potential for winemaking. Javi and Victor are both locals o the area, and together they are uncovering amazing vineyard sites and varieties that have been long overlooked. 'La Comarcal' (which translates to 'The District') takes a h approach - fermenting with natural yeasts and ageing in neutral vessels - to ensure that the unique fruit shines through.
