Pineau d'Aunis may not be as famed as Cabernet Franc, but this is certainly the red grape to watch in the Loire. This epic blend of both grapes offers a crunchy, vibrant and supremely drinkable red that's perfect lightly chilled and enjoyed in the sunshine (preferably with a BBQ on the go). A whole lot of flavour in just one bottle.
Agnès and René Mosse live and breathe the Anjou region of the Loire, where they are based. They originally ran a local wine bar, opting to serve wines rather than make them. Yet it was through this that they were able to meet so many inspiring producers driving Loire's natural wine movement. With their encouragement, the Mosse's began their winemaking education, which included a couple of years working in Burgundy. Today they are the heart of Loire's vibrant winemaking scene. They work organically with a range of local grape varieties and make delicious wines that continue to push the boundaries. We can't get enough!
