2 x Blau Cru, 2022
2 x Pur Xarel.lo, 2022
2 x Sus Scrofa 2024

Blau Cru, 2022
The nose of this wine is like a breath of fresh air. Green apples and citrus dominate with a charming hit of smoky flint. On the palate it's bright as anything, mouthwatering and juicy, perfectly balancing depth and lightness. If you've been waiting to try Malvasia de Sitges, try this one! This wine is the perfect first wine of the day, open it on a sunny day and drink it outside with a view.

Pur Xarel.lo, 2022
This is an elegant rich wine. Apricot, golden apples and hay, immediately bring to mind this beautiful warm vintage. There is real skill in the way the freshness has been maintained in this wine. For generations Xarel.lo has been the defining grape of this region and this is a wonderful illustration of why.

Sus Scrofa, 2024
This wine is a fun, youthful Sumoll. Bursting with crunchy cranberry, raspberry and fresh fennel seeds. The wine is bright, with good acidity, which goes toe to toe with the firm grippy tannin. This wine was created to go with food and would do great work beside most cuts of meat, grilled over charcoal. 'Sus Scrofa' translates to 'Wild boar' in Latin, and is the emblem and unofficial mascot of Celler Pardas. This is a wine that pays homage to the feisty boars who call the hills of the Alt Penedès home.

About Celler Pardas

Celler Pardas is part of the new generation of producers in Catalonia, focussing on local grapes such as Xarel.lo, Macabeo and Sumoll. Their focus is on preserving the balance and health of their land. They farm organically without irrigation, aiming to always work with nature and not against it.

The project began in 1996 when local winegrowers Ramón Parera and Jordi Arnan bought the Can Comas estate high in the Penedés. This stunning, medieval farmhouse was surrounded by 60 hectares of forest, pasture and shrubland, cut through by the Bitlles River. This unique terroir instantly jumped out at them, and they set to work clearing the area and started planting vines. It was a labour of love, taking until the 2004 vintage for their wines to be really ready for the public to enjoy too. We think it was well worth waiting for such authentic and delicious wines which speak unashamedly of their origin. These are fabulous wines from a resolutely quality-focused producer.
