A Sauvignon Blanc of constrained elegance and an emphasis on texture, rather than an out-and-out fruit bomb. There is still a lovely generous fruit profile of pineapple, passionfruit and juicy ripe peaches, but with a chalky minerality and texture. The fruit comes from high altitude vineyards in Marlborough's Awatere Valley surrounded by as many insects, birds and plants as Erica and Kim can encourage! This wine will do great things beside a nice big bowl of prawn spaghetti.
