Domaine du Cros
The medieval citizens of Rodez used to take Marcillac for their health, because it was preferable to drinking the local water. Domaine du Cros has been in the Teulier family of several generations. In 1982 Philippe and his son Julien planted 2 hectares on their best slopes and started to work some other vineyards. They also built a new cellar for production and storage.
They practice sustainable viticulture. There is no weed killing, so that the biodiversity of the flora and fauna can flourish. Their wines are a classic representation of the soil, the micro-climate and the grape variety. Made in the traditional style using tank rather than oak to preserve the intrinsic flavours of the terroir, the place where the vines grow.
