Full bottle just 1,281 g. Imitation burgundy label! Synthetic cork. No foil. Dark gunge lines the top of the bottleneck. Various vineyards, barrel selection. 100% whole-bunch fermentation in concrete and aged for 10 months in a combination of concrete and neutral oak.
Transparent crimson. Very fresh and sinewy. Bone-dry and French-tasting! Though with less mid palate than, say, a fine St-Joseph. This would be extremely difficult to put in California in a blind tasting! It’s – just – cheaper than, say, Chapoutier’s Les Granits St-Joseph but is certainly a fine wine. So long as you like the slightly green notes of whole-bunch.
