An effortlessly juicy, dangerously drinkable little number from the often overlooked DOC of 'Cacc'e Mmitte di Lucera' in southeast Puglia. Supposedly, in the local Puglian dialect, '
Cacc’e Mmitte' means to 'pour it, drink it and go again' which is extremely apt for this wine. A very moreish, organic red wine with notes of ripe red cherry, raspberry and wild strawberry, with a tickle of peppery spice on the finish.
Paolo Petrilli are a pioneering Organic farm in Puglia that specialise in tomatoes, wheat (for their own homemade pasta) and gorgeous organic wines from the lesser-known Cacc'e Mmitte di Lucera DOC. They are a rare producer that offers exceptional wines, made with the utmost respect for mother nature, at a fantastically affordable price. The perfect wines to enjoy with friends, over dinner tables groaning with food.
