The 'Les Culs de Beaujeu' Sancerre is the perfect example of Francois Cotat's iconic style. Rich and complex with abundant age-ability, this is Sauvignon Blanc at its finest, bringing this single vineyard to life in the bottle. Not a wine to drink young. Something to lay down for a few years yet, and trust us your patience will be more than rewarded.
From the steep slopes of the Cul de Beaujeu, this is a very fine and rather delicate expression. While initially succulent, it remains light in body and has a sense of quietness while maintaining line and structure. You can expect wild flowers, red apples, nettles and elderflower. Hell, there's even an apricotty character before the salty finish kicks in and a lightly chalky texture resides on the palate.
