The Legrand family have been synonymous with quality in  Saumur Champigny since the 17th Century, and Clotilde is the first female winemaker taking the reigns in its history. She is a remarkable talent, and her 'La Chaintrée' really showcases that. 

'La Chaintrée' is only released in the best vintage, using her best parcels and offering what Clotilde views to be the finest expression of her vines. The ageing process is extensive, with the 2014 vintage being released in just 2022. This is a wine that offers exceptional value - an extremely good example of aged Cabernet Franc, brimming with dark fruit and savoury herbs, all for less than £20 a bottle.
