Discover the 'Salts of the Earth' terroir project with this Mixed Case. A collaboration between The Sourcing Table's own Ben Henshaw, acclaimed wine writer Jamie Goode and Zalto wineglass importer Daniel Primack. This dynamic trio is on a mission to discover the best expressions of Albariño from Rias Baixas and Riesling from the Rheingau. Wines that epitomise these iconic growing regions, and offer some of the purest, saline expressions of their vines.

The 'Salts of the Earth' Mixed Case includes:

3 x Eulogio Pomares, 'Sal da Terra' Albariño, 2021

“A wine to make me fall in love with Albariño again.” - Jancis Robinson

This terroir-focused Albariño is a collaboration between iconic Galician winemaker Eulogio Pomares (Bodegas Zárate) and The Sourcing Table founder Ben Henshaw, writer and contributing editor Jamie Goode, and Zalto glass importer Daniel Primack. The wine is bright and refreshing. Zesty acidity is balanced by wonderful breadth on the palate, with notes of ripe peach, limes and white blossom, rounded out by a sea-breeze salinity lingering on the finish.

3 x Georg Breuer, 'Salz der Erde' Riesling, 2020

'Salz der Erde' is the munch anticipated follow up to the 'Sal de Terra' Albariño by Eulogio Pomares. Translating to 'Salt of the Earth', this is a collaboration between The Sourcing Table's own Ben Henshaw, wine writer Jamie Goode, Zalto glass importer Daniel Primack and legendary German winemaker Theresa Bruer of 'Georg Bruer' in the Rheingau.

Theresa is a true master of the Riesling grape, creating lean, mineral and refined expressions of this German variety. She is the perfect collaborator for this project, and their resulting 'Salz der Ertz' Riesling is every bit the masterpiece that 'Sal de Terra' is. Crisp, dry and intensely expressive with notes of citrus, lemon rind and a salty, refreshing finish.
