An effortlessly delicious field blend bursting with bright berry flavours and Mediterranean herbs. Our dream wine to share with friends thanks to its handy Litre bottle format - pop one in the fridge for 20 minutes (this lighter style is excellent when chilled right down!) and crack open with summer BBQ or a picnic in the park.
Pipeño wine is essentially Chile's answer to table wine. It has been made in the south of Chile, in Itata, Maule, and Bio Bio for centuries, as a thirst-quenching everyday wine that's perfect to share over the dinner table. Rogue Vine certainly elevates the concept here, but stay true to the delicious, easy-going nature of Pipeño that Chileans love.
To taste any of the Rogue Vine wines is to discover a completely different side to Chilean wine. The project hails from Itata, an old and nearly forgotten viticultural valley with bush vines growing on pure granitic soils, 400 km south of Santiago.
The project is led by two friends: Leonardo Erazo and Justin Decker, who share a passion for terroir and sustainable growing, acquired over years of travelling the world’s vineyards. In Itata they have discovered old vineyards with dry bush farmed Cinsault, País, Carignan, Malbec, Sémillon, Moscatel and more. They farm organically and vinify using native yeast and concrete tanks, and the resulting wines express the freshness and minerality of the soil and climate. Wines to make you rethink everything you thought you knew about Chilean wine.
