A truly remarkable wine. Almost Burgundian in style and still brimming with life even after 30+ years passing since its vintage. Whilst certainly developed, it also has marked freshness that lifts the rich, dried fruit and hints of Christmas cake spice. A perfect wine to enjoy during the cold winter months.
Due to the age of this wine, the cork is a little fragile and it throws a fair amount of sediment. We would recommend opening slowly with a butler's thief if you have one (if not they're a great tool to have on hand for opening older bottles - a Sommelier's best friend). Keep the bottle upright for an hour or so prior to opening so the sediment settles nicely on the bottom, and then transfer to a decanter before serving.
