A stellar Crémant that blew us away when we first sampled Mann's wines. A blend of Auxerrois, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir this is a wonderfully sophisticated fizz that rivals vintage Champagne at twice the price.
Sebastien's experience at renowned Grower Champagne producer Vouette et Sorbée is clear; this is a vinous Crémant with significant complexity and richness whilst still being light enough to work beautifully as an aperitif. It is bone dry (zero dosage) and spends 30 months on its lees which gives the wine a luxurious creaminess. We think this really is a must-try bottle.
13.5% alcohol. This is a blend of Auxerrois, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir. Complex, aromatic nose of apples and lemons with some cream and spice. The palate is complex and lively, with lovely crystalline lemony fruit, some vibrant spiciness, and nice appley character too. Some pastry notes in the mix as well. Lovely complexity here, with a salty edge.
Intense and really quite champagne-like. Clean and fresh with good balance. QGV (Quite Good Value) 13.5%, Drink 2021 – 2024.
Jean-Louis, Fabienne and Sébastien are a family of winemakers dedicated to producing exceptional, terroir-driven wines from the picturesque commune of Eguisheim in Alsace.
Focus is given to individual parcels within their 13 hectares of biodynamically farmed vineyards; each wine is crafted in such a way that every plot's individual terroir shines through, with some only producing 150 bottles a vintage. Their vintage Crémant is a must-try; it is wonderfully elegant, rich, and complex with Sebastien's experience working at renowned Grower Champagne producer Vouette et Sorbée clearly evident.
These wines are elegant and alive, displaying thrilling minerality and are truly delicious. If you have previously shied away from Alsace before, these are the perfect way to reacquaint yourself with this diverse region
