Neil Prentice's day job is raising Wagyu beef cattle, but in his spare time, he makes this voluptuous Pinot Gris in Victoria. Holly's Garden Pinot Gris is a real favourite of ours and has been for many many years. It has an amazing weight and texture, interlinked with notes of golden delicious apples, crunchy pears, and ginger spice. Amazing paired with slow-roasted pork.

Holly's Garden uses biodynamic practices in the vineyard. For Neil this isn't for dogmatic reasons, but simply because he believes it produces better grapes and therefore better wine. Is there any better reason?

Cloudy. Lemon and smoky notes on the nose. Clean fresh palate with lots of acidity and has an underpinning of roasted nuts and creamy notes. Interesting if a little wacky. (AC)
