Naked and unadorned – this is a natural white blend that hides nothing. The grapes are sourced from vineyards on both sides of Lake Neusidel, deliciously bringing together the different sites, soils and varieites of the region. The stems and skins are left to macerate over night which lends the wine phenomenal texture and aromatic lift, think citrus, garden herbs and baked apples.

About Heinrich

Gernot and Heike Heinrich put their heart and soul into their wines and it shows in this diverse range with energy and finesse. They have never been afraid to innovate - after taking over Gernot’s family winery in 1985 they were among the first in the region to produce high-quality reds, seeing the potential in local varietals like Blaufränkisch, Zweigelt and St Laurent. Heinrich have vineyards on the Leithaberg, southwest of Vienna, and also on the other side of Lake Neusiedl where the gentle slopes of the Pannonian Plain give a warmer microclimate.

They are passionate about biodynamics because they feel it’s right for the planet but also because Gernot believes that the best wines express a sense of place, and that they can only do this if they're rooted in a biologically diverse environment and the vines live in symbiosis with a healthy ecosystem. They have a flock of the friendliest, most contented looking sheep we’ve ever met, as well as ducks and hens, and bee hives in some of their vineyards!
