The wine is fermented for around 20 days before ageing for two years in old 300-litre French oak barrels, all more than ten years old. Production is tiny, at just 1,260 bottles.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe palate is all about purity rather than power: succulent red fruit, bright acidity and very fine, persistent tannins, with a long, mineral finish. Walter Speller scored it 17+\/20, praising its “great purity” and describing the tannins as “fine gossamer tannins”.
