A gorgeous pink Pét-Nat from the Loire Valley. Part Grolleau, part Gamay, part Cot (aka Malbec) this wine combines bright red berry fruits with fragrant notes of white pepper and dried herbs. It's creamy in the mouth, with its gentle fizz that giving way to lingering raspberry and strawberry. Quite the versatile wine, it works well with charcuterie, pizza, and even desserts.
Frantz started a career as a forester before bottling his 1st vintage in 2002 from a small vineyard in Touraine in Montlouis sur Loire. He has always practised organic and biodynamic agriculture and all wines are fermented naturally. He manages about 5 different Chenin vineyards with a variety of soils. Frantz’s winemaking style seems to be about purity, always looking for clean wines and thriving for dryness. He also has a great talent for making 'pétillant naturels', some of the best ones in the region.
