There's Provence rosé, and then there's Domaine de Triennes. A collaboration between two of Burgundy's finest producers (Dujac and DRC), this is a thoughtfully made, organically grown wine that does real justice to this idyllic coastal region. Bright berry fruit, wild strawberry and citrus. If it's good enough for Dujac and DRC, it's definitely good enough for us!
Domaine Triennes was founded in 1989 by Seysses and de Villaine, two icons of Burgundy who viewed Provence to be criminally undervalued. They set their sights on the rolling, mountainous terrain of the Var region, where vines had been cultivated for thousands of years. The name 'Triennes' nods to this ancient history; referencing Triennia, a festival held in honour of Bacchus during the Roman era. In a region increasingly dominated by mass-produced brands, Domaine Triennes is a breath of fresh air to this stunning coastal region.
