The wines of Domaine St Pierre once lived in the shadow of their famous contemporaries, Overnoy and Ganevat, but are now rightfully having their moment in the sun. Winemaker Fabrice Dodane has a fascinating history. He began his career studying in Burgundy and came to Domaine St Pierre in the late 80s after a stint working at a local cooperative. Slowly, but surely, he started to make the domaine his own, beginning the conversion to organic growing in 2002. In 2011 he finally had full control, and the results speak for themselves.
'Le Rouge' is a fragrant blend of Pinot Noir and Jura red grape Poulsard, fermented naturally and brimming with notes of crunchy red fruit, sour cherry and spice.
