Jura native Julien Mareschal learnt the tools of his trade in Burgundy, before returning to the region and settling in Pupillin. Here he has jumped head first into the world of biodynamics, adopting the same ethos and dedication that fuels Jura’s wave of new, young winemakers.
The 'Terre du Lias' Chardonnay takes its name from the lime rich, blue marl which the vines are planted on; a layer of soil known as 'Lias'. Julien firmly believes that these unique, mineral rich vineyards make his wines what they are. Using natural yeasts and extended ageing, this is a richly textured white, balanced with crisp acidity and notes of green apple and lemon curd.
