Cerasuolo di Vittoria is the only DOCG in the whole of Sicily and brings together two of the islands iconic red grapes, Frapatto and Nero d’Avola. This is a structured and inky red, that is delicious out of the bottle but also benefits from time to breathe (pop into a decanter to speed things along).

Azienda Agricola COS is the brainchild of three school friends, Giambattista Cilia, Cirino Strano and Giusto Occhipinti (uncle of the famous Arianna). What started out as a fun experiment in the 1980’s – playing around with grapes from their family vineyards – skyrocketed into one of Sicily’s most exciting, dynamic natural wineries. COS seek to produce wines that celebrate the beauty of their surroundings.
Sicily is a unique island, teeming with life and home to a diverse range of indigenous grapes and forward-thinking growers. Giambattista, Cirino and Giusto are dedicated to harnessing this in their wines. They lead the charge for biodynamic farming, which they feel helps the vines find and maintain balance with nature. The results are expressive wines that have influenced a whole generation of new producers to come.
