This is a Beaujolais for Burgundy lovers. Though Fleurie in name, it has the structure and oomph of its neighbour Moulin-a-Vent; a Cru that's so close it shares near identical soil structure to this vineyard plot. Clos de la Roilette have farmed vines in the area for generations and continue to produce stunning expressions of Gamay to this day. Their 2020 vintage is inky and brooding, yet still very drinkable and approachable in its youth. An instant favourite of ours and a brilliant red to chill down this summer.
