For us, this incredible Spanish white is akin to a spectacular Hermitage blanc. Terroir al Limit has taken Priorat by storm, fast becoming one of the regions most sought after (and well scored) producers. An enticing blend of Pedro Ximenez, Macabeo and Garnacha Blanca that's rich and soft, with a light creamy texture balanced beautifully with vibrant acidity.
A wine that perfectly captures the expressive terroir of Santa Barbara, and showcases precisely why this area of California is now so famed for its Pinot Noir. Drake Whitcraft learnt from the best; both his hugely talented father and Burt Williams, founder of Williams-Selyem in Sonoma. The pinnacle of Dominio del Aguila's red winemaking. The fruit for this Reserva comes from some of the oldest vines in the village of La Aguilera, many over 100 years old and some even pre-phylloxera. After careful handpicking, the wines are fermented slowly in a cool cellar before ageing for 35 months in old barrels. The resulting wine is incredibly refined, but still with true Ribera del Duero character. A truly exceptional wine.
This stunning dessert wine, from Hungary's famed Tokaji region, is only made in exceptional years using the rare local variety Yellow Muscat.
