Offering more sandy, loamy and dried earth characteristics intermixed with lots of dried cherries, black raspberries and smoked herbs, the 2014 Gigondas Hominis Fides has a Burgundy-like feel on the palate with medium-bodied richness, fine, elegant tannin, moderate concentration and a great finish. It has higher acidity than the other two single vineyards, is pretty and relatively forward, yet certainly has the balance and purity to evolve nicely for a decade.
