You can tell this is going to be a class act as soon as you put your nose in the glass, it's elegant and pure with delicate white fruit and floral aromas. Take a sip and savour the character and complexity, refreshing minerality and long finish. Mmmm and another one... The pedigree of the marine limestone soils of Le Mesnil-sur-Oger combined with Pierre's meticulous organic farming allows the minerality and focus of the Grand Cru Chardonnay to shine through.

About Champagne Robert Moncuit

The Moncuit family has been growing Chardonnay in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger on the Côte des Blancs since 1889. The village is planted with 100% Chardonnay and rated as Grand Cru, it's home to Salon and Krug's Clos de Mesnil, two of the most prestigious names in Champagne. In 1928 Robert Moncuit started to make wines under the family name and today his grandson Pierre Amillet runs the domaine.

Pierre continues the traditions of his grandfather, working organically without herbicides or pesticides to nurture microbial life and the natural balance of the soils, which allows the wines to express the identity of their sites. They harvest manually, and each plot is pressed and kept separately to give a palette for blending his cuvées. They ferment in a combination of neutral oak and stainless steel to preserve the characteristic minerality and focus for Chardonnay from Grand Cru Le Mesnil-sur-Oger.
