Produced in tiny quantities, this 'Vino Rosso' is designed to highlight a different variety in each vintage. In 2016 this was focused in on Malvasia Nera, a variety that often flies under the radar yet is capable of producing aromatic, fragrant reds. Fresh and supple, with featherlight alcohol (just 10.5%), and notes of bright red cherry, fresh cut flowers and dried, Provence herbs. The perfect spring/summer red to enjoy lightly chilled in the garden with great friends and fabulous food.
When Jarkko Peränen left his native Finland to work a harvest in Italy, he never expected to find a permanent home in the rolling hills of Tuscany. After working for a producer in Chianti Classico for five years, he fell in love with the beauty of the region and decided to put down his own roots. In 2002 he bought a farm and established his own label: Candialle. He and his wife Josephin have been making wine there ever since, bringing a natural approach to the wines and the vineyards, with a strong focus on organic viticulture and soil health. These are some of the freshest and most energetic Tuscan wines out there; driving innovation whilst still remaining true to their roots.
