The 'La Misse' Chianti Classico is grown organically in the heart of the Chianti region. These Sangiovese bush vines sit at a lofty 400m above sea level, making for low yields of exceptionally high-quality fruit. Harvested by hand, and fermented using natural, wild yeast, this is a vibrant and expressive red with notes of dark red cherry, raspberry, violet and spice. Perfectly paired with slow-cooked lamb.

When Jarkko Peränen left his native Finland to work a harvest in Italy, he never expected to find a permanent home in the rolling hills of Tuscany. After working for a producer in Chianti Classico for five years, he fell in love with the beauty of the region and decided to put down his own roots. In 2002 he bought a farm and established his own label: Candialle. He and his wife Josephin have been making wine there ever since, bringing a natural approach to the wines and the vineyards, with a strong focus on organic viticulture and soil health. These are some of the freshest and most energetic Tuscan wines out there; driving innovation whilst still remaining true to their roots.
