Sourced from a picturesque, organic vineyard in the heart of Chianti's 'Golden Bowl' or the Conca d'Oro. The vines range between 300-400m above sea level, bringing a cooling aspect to their growing season that helps produce exceptional sangiovese. These are then carefully hand harvested before being fermented naturally using wild, native yeasts. Elegant and well structured, with notes of dark cherry, spice and a subtle, earthy finish.
When Jarkko Peränen left his native Finland to work a harvest in Italy, he never expected to find a permanent home in the rolling hills of Tuscany. After working for a producer in Chianti Classico for five years, he fell in love with the beauty of the region and decided to put down his own roots. In 2002 he bought a farm and established his own label: Candialle. He and his wife Josephin have been making wine there ever since, bringing a natural approach to the wines and the vineyards, with a strong focus on organic viticulture and soil health. These are some of the freshest and most energetic Tuscan wines out there; driving innovation whilst still remaining true to their roots.
