Busi Jacobsohn are quickly rising to stardom, and with wines like this it's certainly not a surprise. The 2018 Brut is deliciously elegant, refined, and crisp. Bursting with fresh green apple, buttery pastry and a gentle, complex, richness on the finish, we think this really sets a high bar for English sparkling wine.
Newcomers on the English winemaking scene, Busi Jacobsohn is already making a real name for themselves. Susanna Busi Jacobsohn and Douglas Jacobsohn moved to the UK from Sweden and instantly fell in love with English wine and its potential. Based in East Sussex, they are growing Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier to produce their exceptional sparkling wine and their vines are all grown as organically as possible without certification. As Jamie Goode found out, "they not organic or biodynamic, because he doesn’t want to use copper, which is the only way to deal with downy mildew effectively allowed by organics."
