This dry Andalusian white brings together the textural complexities of Pedro Ximénez with the aromatic intensity of Moscatel de Alejandría. It is bright and perfumed, with aromas of lemon, white peach, and blossoms. The palate gives more tropical fruits, with a smooth texture and mouth-watering acidity. The finish is long and fresh, with a slightly saline edge that captures the wine’s sense of place.
Bodegas Bentomiz is making some of the most highly regarded sweet wines in Spain: balanced, fresh, delicious and naturally sweet. Wine enthusiasts Clara Verheij and Andre Both emigrated from Holland in search of a southern Spanish way of life.
They bought a property near Malaga, in a hilly area overlooking the Mediterranean, with some abandoned vineyards which they set about restoring. With great raw materials and terroir - old Moscatel vines, Axarquía slate soils, good altitude and fantastic climate - great wines soon followed.
