We have to say it: whoever said Autumn was a season exclusively for red wines was wrong. Cosy evenings and seasonal food (hello pumpkin and game!) are also tailor-made for a voyage of discovery in the world of textured whites. This case blends some classics with intriguing bottles from the path less travelled. Vibrant South African Sauvignon Blanc, fragrant Spanish Godello and peppery Austrian Gruner, sit alongside a seriously exciting Swartland Chenin, Alpine Verdesse (the ultimate raclette cheese pairing) and a brilliant old vine Colmbard. Plus, for a limited time, you can save a whopping £30 on this mixed case to boot. Beautiful bottles and exceptional value, what's not to love?

In the Case:

1 x City on a Hill, Chenin Blanc, South Africa 2020

A snapshot of the Swartland. This Chenin is produced from only the best barrels 'City on a Hill' crafts in each vintage, offering a textural, fruit-forward wine brimming with orchard fruit, white peach and lemon.

1 x Vina Somoza, 'Neno' Godello, Spain 2020

Galician Godello at its finest. Blended from a range of vineyards across Vina Somoza's estate, the name 'Neno' means ‘child’ in native Galician (aka Gallego) and reflects the pure and direct expression of this fresh, floral white.

1 x Holass, Gruner Veltliner, Austria 2019

A sleek, savoury Grüner Veltliner from the Leithaberg. This area of Austria's Burgenland is renowned for producing aromatic Grüner with exotic spice, florals, juicy citrus and a mineral edge. It also is an area with important symbolism for Holass, as it represents the border between Hungary and Austria – the two regions they unite through this project.

1 x Wild Air, Sauvignon Blanc, South Africa 2020

An exciting joint project between The Sourcing Table's own Ben Henshaw, and the immensely talented (and sought-after) Storm Wines. This vibrant Sauvignon Blanc is fermented and aged in old oak barrels to offer a vibrant, mineral and food-friendly style.

1 x Jeremy Bricka, Verdesse, France 2020

Crack open the Racelette for this Alpine beauty. Verdesse grown in the Rhone Alps - Crisp and textured, with notes of apple, spice, tart citrus and a delicious, honeyed finish. This is a wine that perfectly exemplifies why Alpine regions are so exciting to explore.

1 x Rebel Rebel, Old Vine Colombard, South Africa 2021

Colombard is a variety historically used to make brandy in South Africa, and as a result, there is a wealth of old vine examples just waiting to be discovered. Rebel Rebel has harnessed these to craft this vibrant beauty, brimming with bright, citrus fruit and tropical notes.
