In the Case:

1 x Dune, 'The Empty Quarter' Red Blend, Australia 2020

Mourvedre takes the lead in Dune’s twist on the classic McLaren Vale GSM blend. Glossy berry fruit, ripe tannins, dried herbs and a perfumed, spicy finish. Dune names their wines after deserts, Empty Quarter is the English name for the Rub’ Al Khali desert, the largest continuous sand sea in the world, spanning parts of Saudi Arabia, Yemen, the United Arab Emirates and Oman.

1 x Rebel Rebel, Syrah, South Africa 2021

A classic expression of South African Syrah; dark and peppery, with juicy black fruit and black olives, sourced from a heritage vineyard on the slopes of the Bottelary Hills, Stellenbosch.

1 x Colombera & Garella, Coste della Sesia, Italy 2020

A moreish, fresh blend of Nebbiolo, Croatina and Vespolina produced on iron-rich soils high in the mountains in North Piedmont. Fresh and floral on the nose, with bright red fruit, a touch of spice and a juicy finish.

1 x Candialle, Chianti Classico Riserva, Italy 2014

Sangiovese sourced from a picturesque, organic vineyard in the heart of Chianti's 'Golden Bowl' or the Conca d'Oro. The vines are carefully hand-harvested before being fermented naturally using wild, native yeasts. Elegant and well structured, with notes of dark cherry, spice and a subtle, earthy finish.

1 x Holass, 'Vas' Blaufränkisch, Austria 2019

From the Eisenberg section of Burgenland, which straddles the border of Austria and Hungary, the soils here are a distinctive iron-rich loam. Ellie, one half of Holass, believes this contributes to the delicate, perfumed aromas of tangerine and pomegranate in the wine.

1 x Domaine Jean-Max, 'Ext'Hase' Gamay, France 2020

This particular expression of Gamay really reminds us of top quality Fleurie; fragrant and fabulously aromatic. The nose of this wine is bursting with ripe red cherry, wild strawberry and even a little hint of cherry drops (a lovely nod to classic Beaujolais).

1 x City on a Hill, Chenin Blanc, South Africa 2020

A snapshot of the Swartland. This Chenin is produced from only the best barrels 'City on a Hill' crafts in each vintage, offering a textural, fruit-forward wine brimming with orchard fruit, white peach and lemon.

1 x Vina Somoza, 'Neno' Godello, Spain 2020

Galician Godello at its finest. Blended from a range of vineyards across Vina Somoza's estate, the name 'Neno' means ‘child’ in native Galician (aka Gallego) and reflects the pure and direct expression of this fresh, floral white.

1 x Holass, Gruner Veltliner, Austria 2019

A sleek, savoury Grüner Veltliner from the Leithaberg. This area of Austria's Burgenland is renowned for producing aromatic Grüner with exotic spice, florals, juicy citrus and a mineral edge. It also is an area with important symbolism for Holass, as it represents the border between Hungary and Austria – the two regions they unite through this project.

1 x Wild Air, Sauvignon Blanc, South Africa 2020

An exciting joint project between The Sourcing Table's own Ben Henshaw, and the immensely talented (and sought-after) Storm Wines. This vibrant Sauvignon Blanc is fermented and aged in old oak barrels to offer a vibrant, mineral and food-friendly style.

1 x Jeremy Bricka, Verdesse, France 2020

Crack open the Racelette for this Alpine beauty. Verdesse grown in the Rhone Alps - Crisp and textured, with notes of apple, spice, tart citrus and a delicious, honeyed finish. This is a wine that perfectly exemplifies why Alpine regions are so exciting to explore.

1 x Rebel Rebel, Old Vine Colombard, South Africa 2021

Colombard is a variety historically used to make brandy in South Africa, and as a result, there is a wealth of old vine examples just waiting to be discovered. Rebel Rebel has harnessed these to craft this vibrant beauty, brimming with bright, citrus fruit and tropical notes.
