This textural Rebula hails from the picturesque Brda region in Slovenia (just across from the Italian border), which was once an ancient seabed. The soil is rich in marine fossils, lending a lot of salinity to the final wine. Rebula is a very thick-skinned variety, so only three days of skin contact were needed here to create a beautiful, light amber colour. The result is a gorgeous orange wine, with layers of apple, boney, beeswax and amazing vibrancy and texture on the palate. Delicious!
