The terracotta and chestnut beamed winery is buried into the hillside, where oak barrels and tonneaux have been aging wine for the last fifty years. 37 little plots of vineyards are sprinkled down towards the south and southeast of Montalcino along with orchards, a vegetable garden, olive groves and woods.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt is the job of winemaker Giulia Harri to translate this place into wine- the vineyards, the terroir, the history. These wines have a fine balance between freshness and red fruit, with aromatic, earthy dried herbs, leather and tobacco.
