Jean-Baptiste was minding his own business, representing France nationally in fencing nonetheless, when he realised it was time things changed. Jean-Baptise’s roots are in the South of France where he spent his childhood, and it was calling him back.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHe went to university and spent time in Bordeaux and Burgundy before taking everything he had learned back home and putting it into practice in his own vineyards. Despite all of this, it may be Jura whose influence we see most in his wines. This bright young wine has a palate bursting with sesame from reduction, pink grapefruit, tart white peach and ripe pear. The nose is lifted with heady blossom and pollen. Intense salty minerality carries the intensity and tingling energy of the wine and leads a long, clean finish.\u003cbr\u003eOriginally this fruit was destined to be made into sweet Jurançon but when Jean-Baptise tasted the fruit he was inspired to change it’s trajectory. The wine is juicy, with tension, energy and length. The finish is long and mouthwatering, with lemon pith texture.
